Proven experience as a Fiber Optic Technician in FTTH deployment projects.
Proficient in:
- Fiber blowing using blowing machines and compressors.
- Fusion splicing and handling fiber optic cables.
- OTDR and power meter testing.
Ability to troubleshoot fiber routes and solve field-level problems independently.
Skilled in drilling, conduit installation, and mounting of enclosures/boxes.
Familiarity with civil drawings, splice sheets, and network documentation.
Understanding of fiber routing best practices and fiber optic standards.
Knowledge of HSE practices and ability to conduct on-site safety assessments.

Work as part of a team delivering PIA Installation works.
Carry out rodding and roping, fibre blowing and cable pulling.
Perform OH/UG Fibre installations on the FTTH/Openreach network.
Ensure compliance with Safety at Street Works and Road Works (Code of Practice).
Supervise site setup and ensure NRSWA compliance.
Ensure compliance with Permit/Noticing Requirements.
Read schematics and prepare as-built drawings.
Identify and report site issues, near-misses, and interventions.
1-2 years’ experience working on the FTTH/Openreach network with a background in Civil works.
Hands-on experience in cabling, splicing, and troubleshooting.

Perform track work, core drilling, duct blockage resolution, and chamber/cabinet installation as per the project plan.
Conduct reinstatement tasks such as block paving, tarmac work, and grass reinstatement.
Operate and maintain tools and equipment required for civil works, ensuring they are calibrated and fit for purpose.
Work in compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring risk assessments are carried out for tasks.
Collaborate with the project team to ensure seamless progress and timely reporting of site activities.
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in telecom civil works and reinstatement.
