Situation
IIU was exploring options how to reduce infrastructure cost, minimize support time, enhance security and visibility, while simplifying their end-point fleet footprint at the same time. Majority groups of users did not necessarily have high-end graphics or computing requirement as they were using basic day to day productivity tools and applications only.
Solution
Based on the requirement gathering sessions and consultative engagements, NETS team designed and presented a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solution to address customer needs. The transformation was powered by using Centerm Thin Clients and CDMS Management software which is a unified platform for managing large scale terminals. IIU teams tested, validated and approved the solution before making their final decision to ensure it checks all the boxes.
Benefits and Outcomes
As a result of this project, customer was transitioned from legacy on-prem to cutting-edge virtualized desktops environment. Below were benefits realized:
