Customer Background:
Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd., commonly known as PTCL is the national telco company in Pakistan, who initiated this SDH replacement project using MPLS-TP at 1,500 sites across the country.
Situation
PTCL team wanted to elevate their infrastructure and so they went to RFP for a reliable partner who could deliver this complex SDH replacement project at 1,500 sites across the country. NETS Pakistan (NE), being one of the most leading technology systems integrators in Pakistan, was awarded the project for Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning of MPLS-TP Based equipment in Pakistan. The frame agreement was signed between PTCL, NETS Pakistan (NE) and Fiberhome for 3 years having a worth of PKR 111 Million and foreign portion of USD 900,000.
Solution
NETS Pakistan team (NE) worked in a close coordination with PTCL to roll out this project. 15 x NETS Resident Engineers were deputed all over Pakistan in different regions to stay on top of the project planning and deployment activities. NETS even overcame security threats with help of law enforcement agencies as one of the phases of this project was in a troubled war zone area. Entire project team was very proud to deliver the most cutting-edge solution as the tools used were first ever procured to test the transmission 10GE/PTN based services in history of Pakistan Telecom Industry.
