Customer Background:
PTML is a subsidiary of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) that started its operations in January 2001 under the brand name ‘Ufone’. As a result of PTCL’s privatization, Ufone became a part of the Emirates Telecommunication Corporation Group (Etisalat) in 2006.
Situation
Pak Telecom Mobile Limited (PTML) was looking a complete turnkey project for upgradation of their IGW network from 30G to 100G, in order to cater business requirements of 2G/3G Data Services expansion across the country.
Solution
This was most critical network backbone of PTML, hence convincing customer on migration planning was challenging. But due to the high reliability and trusted history, project was awarded to NETS jointly with Cisco who ensured customer satisfaction while still completing the project within timeline. Entire project was led and delivered by a highly skilled, experienced and technical team at NETS who worked in close coordination with Cisco Professional Services team to design and roll out this project as a turnkey solution. NETS team kept close coordination with customer to efficiently address challenges such as late equipment delivery, by completing the design and planning part before equipment arrival.
